Emoticons vs. emojis!

In this entry we will show you the emoji that we have created.

The story begins in class, while we were talking about emojis and emoticons’ origin. Do you know the difference between these two concepts?

An emoticon is an acronym created by the mixture of emotion + icon. It is represented by the combination of letters and characters in order to form facial expressions, such as XD.

On the other hand, an emoji is the joint of e + moji (Japanese word which means pictograph). And one example of it would be this one:

    1. During the year, there are several beautiful astronomical phenomena that take place such as the eclipse and this emoji represents them. As I like everything related to space, I decided to create this emoji in order to use it when a phenomenon like this is going to happen. Indeed, the next astronomical event is the 8th of November, there will be a Lunar eclipse.
